Welcome to Uptown Long Beach

Uptown, like the name, is the up-and-coming area of the city of Long Beach. The city has invested millions of dollars in the area in recent years including a complete (125M+) renovation of Jordan HS, the recently opened Uptown Commons center, the new fire station, and the Michelle Obama Library.

The area is predominantly single-family homes on tree-lined streets built in the post-War contemporary style with mission Revival and Craftsman homes making up the balance. This is still one of the more affordable areas to become a homeowner.

Uptown Long Beach, also known as North Long Beach is a very diverse part of and a large part of the city. In the past few years, much change has come and new development is happening across the district. The new fire station on Atlantic, a new shopping and restaurant complex at Artesia and Atlantic, and a recent renovation of the DeForrest Wetlands.

The neighborhoods are a mix of Spanish Mission Revival, Craftsman, Post War, and Mid Century Modern homes. Most areas are completely single-family homes, not mixed with apartments. This is one of the best value areas for purchasing a new home.
